What kind of music is Moxie Black? Electro, hip hop, pop, indie rock? I don’t know. Highly danceable, hook-laden, crossover anthems mostly about getting drunk. Future Pop? Produced by YAWMA favorite Dekk. Pay What You Want for this album… NICE
The production on How Did This Happen? ranges everywhere from indie rock guitar harmonies to sleazy club bangers to new wave synth pop, all strung together with the formidable skills Dekk has come to be known for. Emcee iLLA coats each track with his melodic rap style, balancing the sensitive-but-partying-hard verses with layered harmonized hooks. This new release has yet to take over the mainstream radios, but these dudes already have a follow-up full length record finished and ready for the world. Stay tuned & stay wild. #thatsmoxie
